Client Activities & Field Trips

Throughout the month, OKFD offers clients opportunities to enjoy holiday and special themed parties and activities at the site. For those clients that qualify, field trips are regularly scheduled to area parks, fishing, shopping outings, attractions, and sporting events. These fun activities allow the clients to enjoy a change of scenery and their normal daily routine.

Unique to the Foundation is our Thursday Fun Nights, which consists of a dinner and dance where clients, along with other developmentally disabled adults from throughout central Oklahoma, gather to share a nutritious meal and enjoy music, dancing, and sports activities.

In addition, based on a client’s needs, we can arrange on-site access to physical, occupational, and speech therapists. To provide such a full range of activities and services, we maintain a 1:4 staff-client ratio.  We employ a social worker and an activities director. We also receive advice from a professional dietitian and nurse consultants. All staff are qualified and tested according to state regulations.
